So, can anyone tell me exactly how I can watch the Olympics on TV? I have Now, which, incidentally, gets more and more repetitive and boring daily. But are they going to show any of it? if so where? Thanks

As a (too) frequent flyer I fully understand what you are talking about. How sad is it that I get excited that I now can sit in "Economy Plus" on United when I fly the 14 hours from SFO to HK. How about some service?

I LOVE Hong Kong and will be back to read more of your blog.

Thanks Kahing
It's true, I've been neglecting my blog despite the many interesting topics that have sprung up recently. This is mainly due to the fact that I have been traveling back and forth to London and have been pre-occupied. However your comment has inspired me - expect a new post this weekend.

Hello,

I found your blog today and after reading it for a while, I noticed I was reading your last year's blogs. So I refocused my eyes and saw you haven't blogged in 2008 yet. I must say, every now and then I search for HKG blogs to keep me informed and updated about HKG. (I am from HKG but nowadays I am Chinese/Dutch/English... and live far, far away) And I like blogs because they give me a more personal view on topics and issues and such.

Now, after reading only a few of your posts, I would like to tell you, yours is one of the few (HKG blogs) who writes interesting articles/blogs/opinions and I wondered if you stopped posting for a while.

All the best,
Kahing

Ok ok ok I'm sure we can find just one more full non Kosher meal if you're SURE you didn't get one first time round?

Or is that just the Employer's Federation response?

i'm glad I don't have to speak to NOW very often, because every time I do I wind up subscribing to more obscure channels that I'll never watch.

Like you I abandoned Wharf's totally pathetic attempt to provide a cable TV Service and subscribed to NOW. It is not a great deal easier to get to talk to a human being at NOW than it was that Cable but the big difference is that you rarely need to speak to anybody at NOW because most of the time their service works.

I was horrified to learn that the unbelievably incompetent Cable channel had got the exclusive TV rights in Hong Kong to the Beijing Olympics.

I haven't heard that the protests over this decision have resulted in any changes but I am hoping that someone can tell me that this isn't true…
